Piloting a real Harrier Jump Jet takes some serious skill and the talents of a pilot who can fly traditional fixed-wing aircraft as well as helicopters. You get amazing precise 4-channel control with vertical take off & landing and airplane like flight. You can even maneuver accurately in tight spaces if you've got the guts.
The built in solid state accelerometer keeps the Jump Jet rock solid while hovering and maneuvering. You'll want to learn to take advantage of all four channels; One channel allows up/down movement, another channel rotates right/left while the third channel moves the plane backward and forward. However the real key is the fourth channel that gives you right/left strafing. Imagine playing a helicopter based FPS shooter and you get the idea. The built in automatic trim means no trim dials or buttons to adjust. Simply power-cycle the remote before your flight and the Jump Jet auto trims itself using the accelerometer as a reference. Seriously, this is one of the best flying, most fun R/C toys we have ever seen.
Flying Tips:
Auto trim the Jump Jet before each flight by power cycling the remote.
New pilots may find it easier to use the right/left controls on left stick for rotation, then push the right stick forward to move forward when pointing in the direction you want to go.
Make note of the "EZ" switch on the remote. When this switch is on, it prevents you from making fast maneuvers that may send the Jump Jet out of control.
